ESA ADMIN,

Please clarify on the Afrikaans typing/speaking as there are ladies and gentlemen that speak from time to time their own language in a sentence on General forum.

Regards
L.

I second this.. ;)

As sometimes I just want to use a Afrikaans phrase that just says it all.. and I have to delete and start over.;)

I don't mind adding a clarification in English afterwards..;) but it sucks having to think so hard to express yourself in English when your own language has so much better expressions.. and by that I don't just mean Afrikaans. I love it when some of our African ladies reply with a word or expression from their mother tongue. There just ain't no English word or expression that has the same effect ;)

The problem is this in an english speaking website and as such the forum should be in English,
English has become the common tongue here in South Africa
That being said nothing stops any SP stating their home language is Afrikaans or Zulu or English I see that @Liza does exactly that
And there is nothing to stop a gentleman ringing or contacting a lady in their own language she will soon tell him if she doesn't understand

But to be an all inclusive forum a single language should be spoken

My opinion

I am Afrikaans. But write my PMs in English, because autocorrect fucks up everything when trying to write in Afrikaans.

I must admit, Karin in Randburg is Afrikaans and during our session she was speaking in afrikaans and that was a huge turn on, I couldn't hold back any more, it was sexy as hell, I really enjoyed it.

I've Spyker a gentleman in raw Afrikaans today. I was a " Regte Skool Juffrou" ( School teacher. From top to toe dressed as a Teacher. Today's lesson was a practical lesson on Biology. All in Afrikaans and he is English. Had so much fun!

I personally contacted ESA about this sometime back I double checked with Matt at the time and with Antoinette they then removed the rule from the rules down below, hense it is no longer in the rule section.

If I remember correctly you might even find it on the forum too I just don't remember the thread else I would bump it up.

Now where are the Archive guys when you need them.
