Don't think the government has a choice to be quite honest, if they keep this up, there will be civil unrest and we will go from a State of Disaster to a State of Emergency .... and then we will be dreamIng of a Level 5 Lock Down ...

The damage has been done in any event, the severe and dire consequences will still be felt going forward for years to come, if we are eventually able to recover ... Junk Status recovery, they say a minimum of 10 years to recover, if done correctly, but with the intelligence we have in power ... probably triple that, if at all ...

Then, we are effectively owned by the Chinese, the manufacturers of all these weird and catastrophic viruses, so yup the consequences will be devastating ....

If they actually follow through with the idea of selling alcohol only Monday to Wednesdday between 8 and 12, that would be idiotic. People will flock to the stores and crowd the places, people will get aggressive. Not a good idea. Not even sure if I would be willing to go if it is like that.

I see many people are not happy with the schoola thing. Saying they will kwwp their children out until the virus is gone, that might be a very long time. People can't hide forever, the thing is here to stay they say, so will have to live with it somehow.

Sorry to burst your bubble people. I am a senior political journalist. It is not a given that Gauteng as a whole will move to level 3. At this stage, it is envisaged that Johannesburg, Cape Town, eThekwini, NMB and Ekurhuleni will stay at level 4. How that will be managed I don't know. The Premier cannot decide, all he can do is recommend to the NCC, the same as Premier Winde in the WC has done. It seems by both Premiers making their wishes public, they are trying to bully the NCC and Cabinet too obliging. Word that I'm hearing is that they're hearing none of it, especially with today's predictions that there will be a million cases and 40000 will die by November in SA.

I am with you ion this, time to get back to a normal society. but interesting to see what the priorities is. People are more worried about getting alcohol and smokes than what they are about the education of there kids.

No bud, had no issue with smokes, I am
most certainly concerned about my kids education, I grew up in a household where education was of utmost priority, and the value was they can take everything from you but not your education.

I am doing a lot of home educational activities even though my kids are only 3 and 6 respectively ...
