When I was in London, most escorts offered bareback as an option.

Oral without is a standard, anal without is common and even full sex without is usually available, sometimes for a bit extra, more often included in the price.

The #1 worry in the UK seems to not be AIDS or other STDs, but falling pregnant. (The pill and injection aren't 100% effective.) Thus an escort is more likely to offer anal without than vaginal without.

In the UK the HIV prevalence rate is around 0.2% nationally
In the RSA the HIV prevalence rate is around 21.5% nationally.

The chances of any one South Africa having HIV is 107 times more likely than in the UK.

A better example for the less arithmetically inclined amongst us: Just on this website there are 29 pages of girls in Johannesburg, with 6 girls per page. That's 174 girls. Following the national average, then it is likely that about 38 of the Johannesburg girls are likley to be HIV positive, while in the UK the same list could quite easily contain not a single HIV positive girl (0.34 chance in 174).

Can you tell me which girls that might be? You can't, because no-one can tell without a blood test.

The fact that you had unprotected sex once, and so far nothing has happened, is meaningless. You may, or may not, be HIV positive and you wouldn't know it. Even if the girl you had sex with was HIV positive, there is no guarantee that you will definitely contract it as well. But if you have enough unprotected sex, you WILL contract the virus.

Going bareback is asking for a death sentance, any working girl that does this - and you can bet if she does it with you she does it with lots and lots of others - will have an increadible risk profile. And a certificate tells you little more than the fact that she probably did not have HIV 60-90 days ago (the window period). How many clients has she slept bareback with in the last 60-90 days?

And one last thing, although oral without is indeed the norm in London, going bareback most certainly is not. Trust me, the reason why the UK has its HIV infection rate under control is because people dont take the type of risk you are proposing.
