Sufferers of this rare condition are usually victims of severe abuse and/ or victims of illuminati puppeteering agenda which I believe to be the Case to control the mass followers...

I suffer from this affliction too.

On the one hand I am Dr Jekyll, the pillar of society, the consumate family man.

And then, when I enter this site, I become Mr Hyde, full of dark thoughts and lust.

Whatever could be wrong with me ? Who am I really ? Darth Vader or Luke's father ? Kiefer Sutherland or Jack Bauer ?

Does having an alter ego mean one may be suffering from a personality disorder?

Not in my books.

Personally, i believe, we all have an alter ego residing in the recesses of our consciousness.

It is that go to place that gives us confidence to be a little more out there, not too concerned about being shunned or made fun of.
A part played in an environment where it may be called for.
An extention of oneself, an adaption to that environment. Some are more confident to resort to their alter ego than others.

Does one lose ones true identity when resorting to ones alter ego?
Dont think so. What could happen though, is that through constant positive reinforcement of the alter ego by third parties, one may become pig-headed and develop a "holier than thou" attitude...something like kanye west....

Personality disorder is a matter much more serious and a medical condition sad and scary to witness....uncontrollable and the sufferer may not even be aware of it.
A state one would not wish upon anybody.
