First of all, you have to be part of the "forum click" and if you then have more than 3 differant badges, you can then ask esa to design and give you ypur very own badge.

The "reliable punter" badge is, I believe, simply available for the asking. They then look at your participation on the forums, quality of reviews etc and make a call as to whether you get it or not.
The "met in person" badge - well, this is a tough one to explain. You actually have to have met the ESA staff in person. How obtuse is THAT?
