@garyj.. Jissis, how I laughed!

@PeterBuck my sweet friend, if it hurts so much it means it was that good, rather feel that pain to remind you you're still human, still alive . .. Time heals absolutely nothing , we adapt to preserve our sanity.

You'll be okay!!!

The timeline is warped, but the song reverberated in my head and over the speakers blasting at full volume. It is an all time favourite song of mine, and at the time would have been the repsonse to her leaving me. I am now through the four stages of grief (I am not prone to the fifth one depression), finally, so this would in fact be the final goodbye to her Majesty.

It was a difficult period, seeing her pictures on a daily basis, reading the comments from other punters, not acknowledging that I was still looking at her profile, not understanding why this was happening. But then it is all about the choices we make in life.

I look at the monthly deterioration in her appearance, and I think to myself that something must be eating away at that magnificent creature, maybe the guilt of this now full time profession, and the endless alcohol abuse taking it's ugly toll ?

So this last ode (ex Phil) is to put this chapter behind me. I am finally accepting defeat, accepting that you walked away, continuing with my life, breaking out of the cocoon that I spun around me to protect some semblance of sanity. I am cured. I am better than before. You broke me, but nature always overcompensate. I am now a much stronger person.

Some unforesen traits have slipped in. Not trusting people. Cynical. Sarcastic. Not as nice as always. You have to build some walls to not get hurt.

So here goes :

How can I just let you walk away,
Just let you leave without a trace
When I stand here taking every breath with you,
You're the only one who REALLY knew me at all

How can you just walk away from me,
When all I can do is watch you leave
Cause we've shared the laughter and the pain
And even shared some tears
You're the only one who REALLY knew me at all

So take a look at me now,
There's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
Just the memory of your face

Please take a look at me now,
well there's just a broken heart
And you coming back to me
Is against the odds
And that's what I've got to face

I wish I could just make you turn around,
Turn around and see me cry
There's so much I need to say to you,
So many reasons why
You're the only one who REALLY knew me at all

So take a good look at me now,
You've left me broken down
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the pictures on ESA
Now take a last look at me now,
cause you'll never see me again

And to wait for you, is not what I will do
And that's what I've got to face
Take a last look at me now,
I'll still be standing here
And you coming back to me is against all odds
It's the fact I've gotta face

Take a final look at me now....

Farewell to you my broken Pondering Princess

There are unavoidable painful moments in Life.

Each one of us has to deal with it at some point.

So:
1. Let's not bear malice in our hearts.
2. Let's not be cruel to others.
3. Let's bury our Pride.
4. Let's not be quick to judge.
5. Let's not feel superior to others.
Etc
I try not to get too attached to people, pets or possessions.
But it's impossible.

Ben

Wise words.

Acceptance that you were not good enough is a bitter pill to swallow. But a lesson learned. I carry no malice, only the knowledge that I believe she made a bad mistake. But then, it is just me.

Regards

So true. At least now I know what it feels like again, and it just confirms that I am still alive and able to experience emotions. Life is not over yet.

"My feeling is that there is nothing in life but refraining from hurting others, and comforting those who are sad."
