A steamy sex session in prison, captured on video for sweet memories, between an inmate and his lover has turned sour.

The prison warder who allegedly facilitated the act for a bribe is hopping mad over the balance owed by the couple.

Kgomotso Molepo, 25, of Alexandra, Johannesburg, claimed her boyfriend Tseko Sehloho was subjected to harassment by a warder because she failed to settle a R300 balance of the R1000 bribe.

The sex encounter between Malepo and Sehloho, a murder convict serving a 15-year sentence, took place in Leeuwkop Prison on Valentine's Day.

Molepo opened up to Sowetan about how she and Sehloho enjoyed two hours and 45 minutes of intimacy inside the prison.

The idea, she said, had started as a joke between her and Sehloho, but both later realised it was possible.

"We joked on a Saturday before Valentine's Day about having sex in prison but thought it could not happen. He called me during the week [to say] that the joke we had had was actually possible if we paid. He said he had [mentioned] it to the prison warder, who said we could if we paid her R1000."

Sehloho advised her to go to the office where the warder would be stationed and bring with her money wrapped in a white shirt.

From the description he gave her, Molepo knew who the warder was because she was familiar with many people working there.

"She was alone at the office when I got there at about 9am. I gave her a shirt with R700. She said she wanted the balance by the end of the month."

The warder then told Malepo to go to the toilet behind the office.

"I waited for about 45 minutes. She was not checking on me and I had gotten agitated, thinking she might have changed her mind since the money was R300 short."

But Sehloho eventually arrived for the appointment.

"He came at about 10.15am. We had about 15 minutes of cuddling and kissing. We then had sex. We decided to film ourselves using my phone so we could talk and laugh about the stupid things we did in prison when he was released. We finished at about 12.30pm and left the toilet and met again in the area where visitors meet their people," she said.

The video begins with Molepo performing oral sex on Sehloho. They then start having sex and appear naked from the waist up. Molepo is also seen wearing Sehlolo's prison cap. They are also giggling in pleasure while having sex in a standing position while she balances on the toilet seat.

Molepo fell pregnant from that first-time sexual intercourse with Sehloho. The two met in the same prison when she accompanied a friend visiting a brother in 2011.

Molepo gave Sehloho a memory card containing the video for safekeeping, fearing that children at home could come across it when playing with her phone.

"But when trouble started, my boyfriend made a duplicate copy and gave it to me," she said.

That was when the warder allegedly started threatening Sehloho that she would report him to the prison authorities for having sex in prison and that this would make his life hard.

Sehloho decided to report her first and submitted the video clip. "He was told that the matter would be investigated. I was also called on two occasions to make statements to a person I was told was an independent investigator."

She said no action has been taken against the warder. Instead, Molepo has been receiving threatening calls from someone who insulted her. "I think this is because the officials are protecting one another," she said.

Correctional services spokesman Manelisi Wolela said an investigation into the matter exonerated the warder but blamed officials who manned the gates for allowing Sehloho to go unescorted to the place where they had sex.

This is only proof that getting caught is not worth it.
