Although I believe it's the right thing to do, I am (and always have been) petrified of needles. Can't remember when last I had to get my blood drawn/ injected, without having someone to hold my hand.

Sabrina, I felt just like you. Of my circle of friends I was the first one to go and I went alone. I heard some terrible stories. Luckily my family and some clients talked some sense and bravery into me.

If you ever had ear piercings or a nose piercing.. you know that shit hurts and burns like hell for a while..;)

If you wanna compare it to that, and a earpiercing is a 8 and a nose piercing is a 10, this is on a 1 or 2.

I hardly felt mine, the nurses are very skilled and really try to make the experience as comfortable as possible;)

As others have said, nearly painless injection. Your arm will be sore a few hours later, but that goes away within about a day. Really easy experience overall, and the benefits are great psychologically, with the lessening of fear. My vaccinated friends were exposed to covid after one injection, and one got it very mildly, while the other didn't get at all. Unvaccinated friends got it badly, one requiring hospitalization, the other severely ill for some time. You're doing the right thing!
