Some things I find odd.
Comments please.

So, R1000 for 1 hour and R750 for 30 mins are your rates.
I understand the difference in cost per hour as the shower, towels, make up, your preparation time and and and has to be costed in.

What I cannot understand is when I ask for 90 mins and am quoted R1750. Still only once you have to get ready, still one shower, still the same towel usage etc.

Just doesn't make sense.
Surely R1500 would make sense. Or discount at R1400.

If you can understand my thought pattern.

I mentioned a time back the same thing.
They just add the hour rate and half hour rate together.
Basicly for an hour and half:
First half hour R750
Second half hour R250
Third half hour R750
And maybe 4th half hour would be again R250

At one veneu the do it at a good price how longer you stay.

First hour R1300
Hour and half R1600
Teo hours R1800
This make sense.

You know what they say, if you can't match the rate, move on.

But you are right though. R1.5K is better than nothing considering.

But look at it this way:
30 min is R750
60 min is R1000
...
90 min you are adding another 30 min, so you are adding R750

Makes sense

I Do understand the logic of this thinking and my own rate reflects similar to the examples.I am independent, working from my win space and it works for me.

But I do think it is very hard for ladies at venues especially to work like this as they still paying full fees for every half hour or hour they use a room, which means they will be using "their" money to pay for the room, effectively working for free or for very little, the extra half hour or hour whatever the case may be.

I somehow think you have missed the point.

The rate is acceptable but it changes.
hr @ 750 = R1500/hour
1 hr @ 1000 =R1000 / hour
1 hr @ 1750= R1166 / hour

I tried to explain why I accept a half hour rate is more per hour- cost of set up is a constant value.

But why not make anything after an hour the hourly rate....
or slightly less to encourage a longer booking

Yes, I understand that logic, but it didn't apply to my incident.
Thanks for the reply

Apart from my specials or Retainers I ask R1500 per hour fullhouse ( I'm considering to drop it to R1200 as I'm still promoting fullhouse but no kissing and and... Some Covid safety in place). Anyway... So.. every half hour added, are R500 more.

That's just me. Oh, I don't work for a venue. So no Commission to the house.

It depends if its FH or massage. From my experience 90 mins massaging being on your feet that long is no joke.

Then you still get clients wanting "deep tissue / sports massage" heavy pressure.

Some clients must stop exploiting the situation. I do sensual, im not a chiropractor.

To answer your question if its heavy pressure massage for 90 mins, could be because it is real effort involved

Thank goodness for that - would be catastrophic if the wrong member gets snapped by accident :-)

We are talking about the concept of bulk discount. I do not think that some of the WG's understand this concept
