I know of a few instances where ladies have had their hard-earned takings stolen from them by punters (R20,000!!) and also robbed at a later time.

More and more small business owners are opting for POS systems and taking payment by card.

How many ladies are using card payment systems and is it worth it?

And there is a percentage taken by the bank for both credit & debit card transactions, and that is determined by the monthly turnover through the device ... and unless you buy one of those pocket pos type devices which you can buy outright, there is the monthly rental cost for the device ... and there is the part of finding a bank that will process these type of transactions ... need to disclose your business etc.

In addition, there would be explaining on the home front, so for me personally cash is my preferred method of payment ...

So a rental cost plus a fee to the bank vs 100% to a thief.
I can understand it's not an easy decision.
I wouldn't mind if the SP requested card payment, would you?

It is a disgrace that any punter would steal from a WG in the first place, this is their income ...

Yeah, wouldn't be too much of an issue and generally pay with a card at certain venues but do ask what will show up on my bank statement ... hahaha!

But prefer to draw and pay cash, just less bread crumbs to piece together.

Tend to agree with this statement, the more evidence you leave the greater the divorce settlement

I have had card facilities on more than one occasion and it didn't work for me. I won't elaborate and give guys ideas. Cardless banking facilities work better. I would rather go that way if I had to.

I wouldn't recommend card payments. Cash is king and a WG should know not to keep excess amounts of cash on her. She should deposit her money when it gets to a certain amount and keep a safe
