SpaceX may become the first private company to launch Astronauts into space today and it may be the first launch of Astronauts into space from American soil in 9 years...

Weather permitting we'll be able to live stream the launch of the Crew Dragon from Florida on Youtube tonight at 22:33 (if I converted the time correctly).

If the weather halts the launch, then it will be pushed to Saturday.

Maybe a little I guess. Didn't he do some of his schooling here in pta? If so then his formative years are thanks to SA education. I'm in the banking industry and the things we think about and are able to do most first world counties haven't even thought of. The world calls us developing but make don't be fooled by their marketing. We kick ass in other counties.

Lol Elon Musk is a nutter, and not afraid to take risks. Some go well others do not. From calling someone a "pedo guy" to saying fuck you and opening his factory during the lockdown, with Trump supporting him.

Lol yup he can be a bit of a nutcase but I reckon that's why he has gotten so much done. When you break down walls you end up with a bloody nose. He can also be quite honest like when he said he thinks his company is overvalued the share price dropped. No other ceo would ever say something like that.

I'm excited about this. Wish China competed with the US in terms of the space race.

Ome thing for sure is that if I could travel to space, I would.

Just to experience the sight of earth from a completely different viewpoint would be life changing.
I try to get my "fix" by exploring with Google Earth sometimes. Your perspective about the size of the earth is changed once you start zooming in and seeing actually how small we really are in the bigger picture of earth.
Apart from Apollo 13 being one of my all time favourites, but I digress.

Wouldn't mind leaving earth for a couple of months on the space station, especially now.
