The wildebeest in Africa migrate every year in search of food to survive. When they reach the Mara river, crocodiles are waiting. The wildebeest knows this and they know they will lose a few when they cross, but for the sake of the survival of the herd, they cross anyway. They have done this successfully for 100s of years and survived.

Implementing lockdown is like putting up a fence to prevent the wildebeest from crossing the Mara river in order to save those that would be eaten by the crocodiles, and as a result, the whole herd dies of starvation!

Could not have said it better.

Also to add..its like a small group of wildebeest puts up the fence while they have more than enough to eat and they keep telling the other wildebeest they will look after everyone but never does

In our case the fence was built to starve the crocodiles and hope that some of the wildebeest survive...Either way...the guys who built the fence will not be affected...they will never go hungry, will they?

And along came a group of so called 'landless' people, stole that fence and resold it to the people who erected it initially !

Sounds like the fence SA erected on the Zim border to stop corona!

I'm sure that this is an "instinct" and not a thought process by the wildebeest in their migration pattern??
They also leave their young or old to die ..... now if we all have a frontal lobotomy we could deal with covid-19 and life in general the same way!! Death dealers to the old, infirm etc etc ......
