I wonder if alcohol will be much cheaper on the shelves or pricing will remain the same as we left them then. Will there will panic buying on this merchandise as well?

There will be very long queues and you will only be allowed to buy a limited quantity. Read somewhere it will be 5 items but not necessarily of the same type. Ie a bottle red a bottle white a bottle spirits etc

Will online liquor sales not be covered. I see may be Tegggie can extrapolate since he knows SA better than any one else here ,that Bottles/PNP have developed an app. I recently sent some groceries to some friends in JHB.

Spoke to my corner bottlestore owner. Its exactly what he is anticipating. He predicts he will make up what he lost. And then it will go back to normal.
Now this is exactly why the ban on cigs doesn't make sense. The first few weeks will see excessive drinking and all the issues that go with it. Smokers might also do the same when cig ban is lifted but the consequences of the overindulgence is neither here nor there.

Lol, just wait until all the smokers get boozed up and go looking for smokes. What a strange regulation, they can't seriously think that people smoking is worse than people drinking. That more or less sends their argument of having the hospitals emptier with alcohol related incidents out the window. Something else must be cooking here

Anyway, glad I don't smoke anymore but all I can say is wtf.
