Mullins is an extreme climate activist, so I am inclined to believe what I have been told by friends out there. The guardian is a student lefty hippy newspaper, has serious agendas

Also spoke to a few friends over there, and apparently, it's not just one thing.
Firebreaks were mentioned, but also a drawn-out drought, scorching temperatures, and yes, even continued human fire starters. Very interesting( and scary) is the fact that the massive fires are creating their own weather patterns, with clouds of smoke developing filled with lightning and burning embers starting new fires as soon as old ones are extinguished.
