Seems standard. Probably checking how far away you were so they could work out the timings of bookings (even fifteen minutes can make a huge difference) and when they realised you weren't coming, moved on to other potential clients.

1stly I think they would contact you if you were LATE. 2ndly when guys are late we often, very often, get the excuse that the guy was in an accident. Anyway, what did you expect them to do? They were only trying to make sure that they were not losing another client because of you. If you are a few minutes late I send 1 message to confirm. If you don't answer I move on and sometimes block.
