I was at Divine two months ago.. very nice, very clean. I will not be going back!! I got a envelope in my mailbox at home, had a photo in it of my car in the parking lot at Divine, and a letter reading "We want R5000.00 or we will tell your wife where you go to!" I will be taking this matter further.

No kidding. You mean Divine in Bedfordview? If this is so then I am calling them myself and will go there with some of my buddies. They work for the task force

Hey what if its a neighbour who is pissed about the venue, realises that he/she cant do much about it and opted to try and cash in on the action?

One big hole in this story. In the mailbox? If the wife got to the mail box first and opened hubby's mysterious envelope, as wives are prone to do, he would've been exposed & blackmailer would have lost out on 5000. Any skelm who had the brains to figure. & carry out the plan, would've thought about the possibility of this happening.

So I figure IF this did happen, it had nothing to do with blackmail or Divine. This was personal. There was always the chance that wife would open the envelope and then there'd be no need to pay. I don't think the management at Divine would jeopardise a lucrative business for 5000 & they are aware of this forum.
BTW I wonder what the arrangements were to deliver the money?
(I watch too much crime shows to believe this story))

Sounds like a personal grudge against Divine.
