Terrible day.Went for what was supposed to be an out booking and I got mugged by the guy who was supposed to be an Uber the client sent to pick me up. Took everything I had on me including my IPHONE..goshhh(literally sobbing right now).. Anyways darlings,I should be able to do a sim swap tomorrow hopefully,but if u trying to get through to me tonite pls use 063 542 1887 rather coz I know I made a few reservations with you guys for tonite.. Hope someone can make ma evening better though,coz it's really not the best feeling to get mugged//luckily he didn't touch me or anything

Sorry cindy to hear this. You should always use your trusted driver when going to an out booking, i think its much safer. Things can be replaced, its your safety that should be a priority.

Im so sorry to hear this. You should report this to Uber immediately. Although I suspect it was a scam from the start. Glad that you are unharmed.

It was prob a scam. Just glad you're Ok. And this is one of the reasons why using Uber or transport provided by a client isn't an option. .

To me this sounds like a scam. I highly doubt this actually involved a legimate Uber cab. Those can easily be traced. I would say that that the caller and the "driver" worked together to pull this off or the caller was the driver himself.

Ladies need to be super cautious on out bookings. If i was a lady in this industry i would NEVER do an outcall without using my own trustworthy driver. Even then make sure the client is aware that somebody knows where u are (obviously u have to be suble about that) . Ladies sbould also learn basic self defence techniques and consider carrying at least a pepper spray or tazer in your handbag. If shit hits the fan u dont wanna be totally helpless. Its really disturbing to see how lax so many ladies in this industry are about their own safety.

@Cindy: sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. Glad u were not physically harmed in any way. Material stuff can always be replaced.
Once u have calmed down a bit analyse the whole experience. Focus on the mistakes that u made that the caller took advantage of and put steps in place to make sure u never repeat those. Turn this while experience in to something positive. Take care and be safe.
