What is the best way of telling someone that they have a bad breath

I'm very sensitive to unpleasant odors and I'm very considerate of other people's feelings but it's such a torture when you are with someone with a smelly breath, what's the best way to make them aware without offending them or hurting them? Your advice will be highly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Any type of bad hygiene, bad breath part of that, you tell straight from the horses mount (a pun?)!!!
No fiddling around, no windowdressing, TELL them - it's the only way which is effective, and will be remembered too hence will be addressed by them.
