Seasoned punters, what's your take on the above? Especially when it's 1st time link-up. Any bad experiences, advice, precautions, is it a do or don't. I'd really appreciate the feedback

Punting for close to 30 years now, not sure if that qualifies as seasoned.

From personal experience, it's never a good idea to pay upfront.

My thoughts as well gents, I reached out to a lady I found hella attractive. She's close enough for me to pop in and out during lunch but her demand of *'to secure a booking you need to pay 50% upfront'* had red flags all over it.

Appreciate the feedback, I shall pass.

I been punting for a while.

Will never pay upfront like that. I already detest the pay upfront the moment you enter the room.

Pay upfront electronically and kiss your cash good bye.

Don't do it. Or else get ready to post a long sob thread here about how she took off with your money.

Will never and have never paid any deposit to secure a booking, that said I have paid a deposit for a overnight booking, but then we knew each other and the balance I paid her in cash the night of the booking.

You just saved yourself some money doing the clever thing - how go ahead and spoil yourself by spending that on some extras

I have considered asking for deposits. I think what should be taken in consideration is the lady on her own merit.

In my case I could count as an established sp. I've been on this platform well over a decade (different profiles) I work from a permanent residential area. The house I live in is also where my salon is situated where I work from.

I have a google maps profile, a webpage, I'm on here, redvelvet. Chances of me running away with a clients money is impossible as I have done everything in my marketing to foster trust.

A lady that's new in industry, working from a guesthouse, venue ect.... Another story as the place she works from she does not own and also don't live from.

Very true. I agree with you.

I charge deposit outside my working ours aswell. To many clients getting drunk on a friday then books for Saturdays and never comes.
