Hi all. Any ideas on WG friendly hotels in the CBD area? Perhaps one where you can even take a girl up to your room without having to walk past reception etc.

If they walk in (with) incognito...many at reception wouldn't notice!

LoL nice one...

Been caught at a hotel taking a lady up and having to pay a fee for an additional person...
They needed ID as well from the lady.. was embarassing.

The onyx is very relaxed about this and they also give you a parking spot in the underground parking where you drive up and jump in the lift from there, so you don't even go near reception.

Hotels only charge additional if she is staying overnight. The reason hotels want the ladies details is for safety and security, what if there is a fire?

The hotel needs to know who to look for, what she is doing there the hotel doesn't care, they really don't.

I have worked in hotels around the world for almost 40 years and trust me when I say we couldn't care less who, are what you are doing in your rooms

Well the Westin in CT wanted all those details for the reasons you stated but would not allow the lady to come up to the room even if for a 'short' time without paying the surcharge.
I most certainly raised the issue that she was not staying overnight but they insisted on the fee.
I think they use it as a means to discourage the 'visits'..

I took a working girl up to my room at the Double Tree without any issues.
We also managed to grab some of their free giant cookies from reception for us to snack on too and reception didn't bat an eyelid

If in future you plan to have a visitorduring your stay.

Pay upfront for two people to occupy the room.. and always say you in town for business when asked, that way no one asks questions about a second person in your room...because business people have meetings all the time. And make sure your lady visitors fit the stereotypical business look and don't look like a party girl. Or say you partner/wife or girlfriend will join you later. If they ask her id she can say she don't have it and just write a "id number and name down" make sure she knows your surname atleast if you lied and said she your partner/wife or girlfriend..:)

Same goes for girls when wanting to work from a hotel for a day or two . Always say you in town for business and always pay for two to occupy. You will face a lot less questions and looks by doing that :)
