Because from now till 30 April we are still on level 5. From 1 may we are on level 4. Only certain industries will be allowed back at work and only a 3rd of the work force will be allowed back in certain industries. People not going back to work will still be on lock down and only allowed to go out for essentials. Certain activities like walking your dog will be announced tomorrow by the minister. But social distancing is still part of level 4.

We will only be able to go back to normal from level 1

The devil is in the detail.
We need to see what Level 4 is exactly.

Normal no longer exists. The world has changed and won't go back to where it used to be. For example international travel may one day be allowed by South Africa, however we have no idea what other countries will do with their travel allowances. And even so how many folk will be wanting to travel far from home like they used to. So where does that leave business tourism or the hospitality industries to name just two? And live events such as concerts? Will they now be a thing of the past just because the nature of their existence is gathering a large amount of people in very close proximity to each other for hours at a time? And not just at the concert but on the routes and transportation to the event.

Normal no longer exists. Adapt or die folks. Thankfully South Africans are very resilient and we will come out of this stronger.

If that's how long it will take to get to level 5 most probably. Social distancing ends when level 1 is lifted
