I have been willing to pay a deposit for well regarded ladies and have not yet been scammed due to filtering them carefully!

With regulars - I often pre-pay bookings and have not yet had a single regret!

I've only ever paid in advance once, and that was to a very highly regarded SP with an excellent reputation.

Generalized opinions isn't fair to genuine people.

It seems some people may have ulterior motives when claiming they've been scammed, particularly when they never actually leave a review. Many of my clients can confirm that they paid their deposits, respected my booking rules, and I honoured their appointments. Anyone who accidentally overpaid or paid twice was refunded, and on the rare occasion I've had to cancel, ample notice was given and refunds were immediate.

Deposits exist for a reason. No-shows and last-minute cancellations mean lost time and income, which is why they're standard practice in so many industries. Reputable ladies understand that our reputation is our bread and butter, so messing clients around simply isn't worth it.

There are good and bad experiences everywhere, which is why doing your own research matters. I'll research a doctor's practice before making an appointment and read up on a product before spending money on it. Everyone's experience and opinion may differ, but taking a few minutes to research certainly doesn't hurt.

If you've genuinely had a good or bad experience, leave a review. That gives others something useful to consider when making their own decisions. Constantly complaining on public forums without leaving a review or providing evidence can unfairly damage the names of hardworking ladies who consistently honour their appointments.

And before publicly accusing someone of wrongdoing, make damn sure you have proof. People are quick to follow what the crowd is saying, and an unsupported accusation can very quickly be repeated as though it were fact.

But this is something that is always brought up when this topic comes up and it is a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue.

Despite my stance on deposits, I've paid many SPs deposits and/or forms of deposits (money now when they needed help for a session later).

Those are SPs I know very well. But I still wouldn't recommend YOU pay them a deposit on the basis that I trust them. Same way I can't trust the SPs you pay deposits to.

Hence, the general advice to punters is just don't pay upfront until you're in the room.
