Which means we will be paying R605 for 28 days of advertising on this site alone.

Compared to the R130 gold members pay.

Did they detail the reason for the increase?

Does not really matter what their reasons, fact is it is happening and once a leader in this field increases fees so will other sites.

If the 4 sites I use all increase by 10 to 12 % as ESA is planning too my ad costs will increase by +/- R200 a month..

Does not sound like a lot but to me that is 2/3 of the fee of another ad i am currently paying.. or half my Wi Fi subscription.. or a weeks prepaid electricity.

Considering that you are the customer in this instance, one would hope that they would communicate their reasoning instead of just saying "it's our way or the highway". It would be a shame if it's like that.

Slight tangent but I'm curious: how do you judge if you're getting what you're paying for across the sites? I.e do you have a reliable enough way to measure where most of your customers are coming from? Please feel free to PM if you'd prefer

Apologies for intruding, alot of ladies have various ads on other sites and use different telephones for each site

I used to advertise on another site, same name, different number
So I personally knew which site the call was coming from
Hope it makes sense

@Gretchen your rates have already increased. I'm not trying to be antagonistic but in January this year you posted that you're charging R900/hr - then last month you started charging R1000/hr. Last year you were charging R800/hr. All I'm getting at is, why the sudden concern when you've previously had no issue? I think you might be (rightly) worried that you're pushing your luck.

That said, let me take this in good faith and try to respond as if you don't know what you're doing: you're probably better off having a trial period with new rates (a full month like March), whilst keeping your rates the same for your regulars. The trial will give you some indication of how far you can go with your market (or if you can expand into a newer one etc). If it's successful you change your rates universally next month.

Does make sense! Thank you Kaycee. I'm always on ESA so I haven't actually paid attention to that and thought about it seriously. It is clever.

I keep the same name on sites. When a client calls or books an appointment I know exactly where they from.

Hence once knows where NEW business is coming in from. So I change sites but my regulars always able to find me just Google Natalie Woodmead. Been here 13 yrs.

As to the increase I think to be careful to increase to often. I only increase every 2 yrs. My regulars have no issues at all with my pricing and new clients find huge value for the money.
