I wish I didn't have 3 decades of studying and research into human behavior and psychology. I definitely was much happier back then not knowing what I know now. Sure, I would have been duped and taken for a ride much more but not knowing or being ignorant to it would have had happier results.
It's like buying a painting. You can buy a fake painting believing it's real and the happiness it brings you will be the same as of you actually had the real one because you are ignorant to the fact that it's fake. Now let's say you got it at a bargain 20% off (because it's a fake and you're ignorant). The fake painting brings you even more happiness thinking you have it to start with, you got it for less so you saved so much, and it's now an even bigger investment down the line. But if you're not ignorant and you find out it's a fake and worthless. Man,you ain't fucking happy anymore. You're furious. Only difference here is you being ignorant or not. Still same painting and money and you.
