It's unstoppable and it's here to stay. We should all know that by now.

This YouTuber (EVIE) delivers a great video on the implications of AI and how it will change our world quickly and forever.

She talks about UBI (Universal Basic Income) and mentions that some say it's inevitable when AI eventually does all our work for us. Some also predict that AI will be the catalyst that causes it (UBI) to finally be implemented.

My hunch is that a really good sex robot will be one of the last places that AI can supersede the human. Until a sex robot can actually feel desire and physical fulfillment in the act of sex, it will always be unable to duplicate that delicate dance of satisfying your partner as you satisfy yourself. Add to that a whole plethora of things like pheromones, visual and aural cues related to childhood experiences, etc. and it really is a tall order for AI. Put it this way: it is easy for humans to have sex robotically, but very difficult for robots to have sex humanly.

Lars is a little-known gem of a film! I'm surprised you did not include Blade Runner and its sequel in your list. What is interesting to me is how much of what makes these films work is the examination of the emotional awakening of the non-humans. It's a real contrast to the dark side of the sex industry, where those trafficked against their will are stripped of their emotional humanity, being made into something like sex robots. If you can find the 2012 film Eden, it really packs an emotional punch.
