Some, including mine, are self explanatory, while others can be quite cryptic, their meaning only known to their creators. Some are deliberately offensive, designed to provoke a response and to stir the pot, the recent C*nt Maggot coming to mind. Whilst I do not wish to comment on individuals usernames, I cannot help but wondering about the meaning behind “R2D3”. Any relation to R2D2, one of the robots in Star Wars? Then there's Eggunlettis, which I think is quite a fun and quirky name.
As for WG's, I tend to be wary of those using celebrities names and the like, it just doesn't work for me.

@mattyman - I went for my username also because it could 'undersell' as you said, in 2 of the 3 possible interpretations. Minute as in very small, minute as in 60 seconds or lastly MinuteMan as in the nuclear capable intercontinental ballistic missiles of the '60's and '70's cold war era.
