Thank you for sharing... but guys need to know... When I'm NOT working and I'm shopping or minding my own business... the LAST thing I want to do is thinking or talking about my work... I just want to be me for that moment... without being reminded of the work I'm doing...

I agree everyone has their own way of dealing with situations.
I personally do the head nod or smile and move on.
You never know if there is someone down the isle, at the counter or on the way to them, all though no one is standing next to them or walking or sitting with them at that moment.
I must say every punter I have ever ran into in a public space has done exactly the same.
Only ever had one that sent me a text a minute after we passed each other in the mall, asking if I would like to join him for coffee at coffee shop across the road.
Respect and being discreet is a very important part of the punting world.
I personally do the head nod or smile and move on.
