Anyways, the bottom line is that any service you pay upfront for there is a risk of being scammed.

Once that happens, you either name and shame or accept it as part of your risk and move on.

There is a line that should never be crossed and that is to pay for something upfront. Especially when paying upfront for something related to THIS type industry. There is no way on this planet that ANYONE on either end of this industry (WG or punter) can be trusted. Why do punters keep dropping threads like this one. If you got scammed for pissing your money away doing the ultimate dumbass thing then you deserve what you got and should not feel butt-hurt or entitled to come and complain here. FFS people. Stop being this dumb. Gawd!

You can contact the bank fraud department. They are still a little tardy to deal with transactions between two private people gone wrong. But if you have documentation you can probs make a fraud case and get the transfer reversed. Not that I think the lady in question has 2c in her bank account. That type of behavior comes from drug abuse, and that is why they try and get as much cash a quickly as possible. Your drug debts with the dealer doubles every day that you do not pay. You can also try SAPS. Not a high impact crime, so don't expect miracles. But what I have done in the past is to report it to the FIC. Report it under money laundering. I reported a WG who said that she did not receive my transfer. And both my and her bank confirmed in writing that the transfer went through. I sent that to the FIC. Their punishment is mostly administrative, but they can prohibit you from ever having a bank account again.
