Reminds me of the joke.
Little boy asks his dad, what is a doos?
Dad replies, the guy that puts those stars in scope magazine!

.....back then, the closest I could get to a nice boere-nooi was Loslyf....but was happy to see Marikie,Shamuney and her maaitjies as i have never seen the before....good memories, even if it was just me and sticky
pages.....we've cum a long way.

I loved Loslyf, especially when they covered local chicks and clubs. It was so authentic.

Those magazines that you bought and justified to your wife as "buying it because it has good articles".

...I know my dad found my stash of Loslyf and Hustler when i was 14...I know he did, cos it was neatly packed back but the sequence i had it in was off...I know he did cos he gave me a nod once and said .."....not reading Archie and Jughead anymore I see..."

...nod to the Bro-Code.

I thought the exact same things, I remember going to a braai and there was no firelighters. The guy brought out the scope magazine to start the fire. There was some pages stuck together and the damn paper wouldn't burn. Hahaha....

Now I feel much better for using the curtains to wipe back then. I was doing my mother a favour by flame-proofing it.
