Punting phone, don't pay and frustrate them.

Once the scam isn't viable they'll move on to the next scam.

For example: Scam emails are still used because they still work.

The nuke option...get law enforcement involved.

Get a punting phone, share the numbers these guys use so other punters can block them. Install truecaller, dont entertain these guys. If you cant get a punter phone use a punting sim.share the info of the sp you contacted in pm with others so we can narrow it down to who the wg's are that share info and which areas. If a wg name comes up frequently then we will know who it is.

The ONLY protection is anonymity.
Anonymity, anonymity, anonymity.

Never give out your real name, or where you live or work.
Never use your own phone or work phone to call a SP or venue.
Get a burner phone with a SIM card that is not registered to you.
Never drive to the place with your own car. They can trace back to you via your car registration.
Rather park at a shopping centre or mall close by and then walk there. Or ride there via Uber or Bolt. But use these ride hailing services from your burner phone and with a fake name.
Leave your cellphone at home or locked in your car. Switch off the location services on your phone if you take it , and make sure your phone is securely locked.
Only pay using cash.... Always.
Bank transfers or any electronic payment method can be traced back to you.
Leave your wallet at home or locked in the car. You don't want anyone getting your real name from your driver's licence or another card.

All of this seems paranoid , but just remember the worst-case scenario ... What if you end up being blackmailed ? So rather be safe and protect your identity.

My opinion after many years of punting.

Apologies for resurrecting this thread again.

However a case I had recently been assisting with has brought something to light for me. They had people working at the cellular phone network provider providing them with customers private information and helping them clone sim cards for financial transaction fraud.

This does not rule out the possibility that they could scan sites like ESA for the popular ladies numbers. Then pay people working at the cellular phone network provider to provide them with call logs, or what not information from the ladies phone. This gives them a list of punters they can try to target. Rendering the ladies innocent and not even aware of what just happened.

I know a few ladies have reported that they had been contacted to give over their call logs and they have come forward about it. If they cant get the number from the lady, nothing stops them from bribing/fooling the network provider agent to give over recent call logs.

I never make celular network calls, and I have never been contacted by them. All my calls are through whatsapp and communication through whatsapp. I have spoken to some punters who made a phone call when they were going to meet a lady, they received calls from the scammers, Some punters I spoke to like me only use whatsapp never got contacted.

This is a pattern I am starting to see. I would like to know from other punters out there if this is also the case with them? If so, then that could be our potential leak

I got contacted by one last night.
Oh I wish I could post the screenshot of what I said to the idiot. Hahaha....

Unfortunately some WG's will fall for these scams just for the money purposes. Getting them to stop giving numbers out is not that easy. Just phone the ladies on a private number and if they don't answer then don't book them..... my 5 cents.

I only use WhatsApp these days.

Maybe that's why I have not had any calls in the past few months, but I have also never had any attempts in all the years that I have been punting. Even prior to me getting a punting phone.
