I have a family member who is in the alcohol industry and told me a few inside stories on brand names vs cheap booze...

Bells and Harrier whisky is the same thing..

Captain Morgan rum and Mullets rum is the same thing.

They cannot drop the price on the brand names and if they dont sell enough vs there producing volume, they put under the cheaper brand.

Makes sence

Oh BTW eziguy Johnny is crap. Well at least to me.

If you ever want a real whisky try a Belvenie, Teelings, or Jura.

I'm not even a whiskey lover. I bought it at a special price and given how long it's taken me to finish it, should confirm that.

A good bottle of craft gin on the other hand has a max shelf life of 3 months in my presence.

Ladies and gents, I'm curious to know what's the longest period of time that you've kept an open bottle of alcohol and still drink it from time to time.

I bought a bottle of Johnny Blue (things were good back then) in 2015 and it's only coming to an end tonight.

I would not finish a bottle Whiskey in 250 years. Whiskey is just all image. Terrible terrible taste. (Apart from Tequila, the only alcohol i cannot stand).
