My jaw was on the floor, it was clear bullshit. We argued, I showed her our whatsapps and she conceded. Did totally ruin the mood however.

Ever since then I screengrab the time on my phone as I arrive at a venue just to avoid this.

Had someone claim today that I was over the time by 20min two previous times and they didn't want to book as a result. Was really taken aback. Had to check screenshots and her story didn't line up from what I could tell.

It hasn't happened a lot to me but I have seen an increase in this recently. Anyone else have similar experiences or some insights?

Make sure you are on time (according to the time you've set the appointment)

Set your alarm for 50min when you walk in
That way you have 10min to shower after your alarm went off

This way you know for sure that you will get the hour you've paid for

If you are one of the men who doesn't shower after the booking then set it for 55min

Growing trend. I find it more with the top tier wgs running a sausage machine where they book back to back. They take longer to start because they just finished another session and still take out the begining part of your session to get ready and also finish the sessions early because they need to prepare for the next session. I hear guys say they'll get the last appointment to avoid be rushed out but then she's tired and needs to go home on time still so that don't work. The first appointment won't help as her Uber is it only pulling in 5-10 minutes after the session was scheduled to start.

There's was another thread essentially covering this but basically we wasting our time booking an hour when most of the time it's actually 30 minutes. It's a rare occasion that we actually get an hour's service but we tend to always just book an hour by default. I've actually started keeping my watch on during bookings so I can monitor this when I still book an hour. I also always send the "I'm here" message which used to be just a courtesy but now it's actually a reference point to confirm the time when they try to hit you with these unsubstantiated early terminations. However, the biggest change I've made is that since I've noticed most of my bookings booked an hour general last 30 minutes, I now almost always just book 30 minutes on a first time booking. If it went great, I'll consider hour long bookings next time or extend and pay the difference. But that the thinking beforehand of "it's just a few hundred more for twice the time" has more often than not resulted in me thinking "I wasted that few hundred booking and hour" because it was just 30-35 minutes afterwards.

I think this is exactly why I've always structured my booking times a little differently.
I go for massages myself, and honestly, it sucks when you've paid for a 2-hour session but by the time you've undressed, been massaged, showered and dressed, you're out the door in under 2 hours.
I firmly believe the booked treatment time should be the time you're actually receiving your treatment on the plinth, not the time spent getting changed, showering or getting settled.
That's also why I don't book back to back clients. I intentionally leave time between each appointment so I can reset, recharge and make sure the next client gets my full attention and energy.
This is why my treatment slots are structured as 45, 75, 105 and 135 minutes. It allows me to give you the full treatment time you've booked, while still giving you breathing room afterwards to shower, dress and leave without feeling rushed.
For me, it's about respecting your time just as much as I respect my own. A massage should feel like an experience, not something you're watching the clock through.

Here's the issues, as I see it, with the ladies and venues who undertake this practice.

Venues:
This is a growing trend, especially at JHB venues. Owners are optimizing and monetizing everything at the expense of quality service.
Ladies get burnt out and they leave or move on.

I've heard of one venue where the ladies are worked very hard, with no breaks between clients. So, the lady shortens the treatment time, to be able to take a toilet break, shower, have a cigarette, something to eat or simply to avoid the fine or extra costs if they use the room past the allocated time.

As punters we blame the ladies, but in all honesty, it's the venue owners. There's often no recourse for poor service or house rules, but to stop visiting these places.

This is my preferred course of action.


Ladies:
Independent ladies who cut on time are the worse! These service providers are also trying to maximize their returns, but have no external pressure except for their poor personal values, in ability to manage their time or their clients.

An example, is a very popular travelling lady who says she only sees 3 clients a day. But in reality, she stacks clients up one after the other for 60 minute appointments, without even 5 minutes between each client. This means, she's either cuting on the appointment time, always running late, or not cleaning herself up between appointments.
