The Sun City Extravaganza!
I wonder how many remember the extravaganza.
Enjoyed going to be B'dazzled by nipple caps, feathers , legs and skimpy outfits.
I absolutely loved it!
For me the extravaganza was like a schooling of some sort.
It was more about posing , knowing to walk across the stage, feathers shaken , smiles broad, false lashes like those of a giraffe and lipstick rubilicious and kissable.
The glitz , the glamor, for me , I mean ....of the dancing girl.
Her tallness, her elegance...then the leading man and leading lady always that little bit more glitsy and eye-catching.
And after the late night show when some entered the casino , having donned a skimpy little body hugging dress and still in her dancing shoes, enlivened the casino and drinks flowed and money was thrown around like nobody's business .
So many of those ladies on a differenr gentlemans arm the very next night.
Of course as part of the audience, the world of a dancing girl was magical for me, while the hardworking and cut throat experiences these girls had to go through and, fight for their space in the lineup, I didn't even bother to think of.
That is what we were talking about yesterday.
The Sun City Extravaganza and the ladies that made that stage gorgeous and captivating.
I wonder if something like that will ever come back ...

Jip - those were the days.
I don't think we will see something like that in SA soon.
If you read Sol's autobiography, it seems that the extravaganza was his personal philosophy, and he is no more, sadly.
If we want to see something like that, we would have to travel.
I haven't been to Las Vegas but have been to both the Moulin Rouge and Lido in Paris.
Both were spectacular.
I don't think we will see something like that in SA soon.

Trevor Noah
Charlise Theron
Mark Shuttleworth
And
The trillionaire....Elon Musk...
Just to name a few.
Like them or not. They are the ones that got away.
Wealth, not riches , SA lost.
Wealth will ALWAYS supersede riches.
Sadly SA will never get that nor understand it.
