This is a huge result! This is new territory for Bafana Bafana - the first time into the knockout stage. No need to rely on any other team to get us through.
The team have really surpassed our expectations and just maybe we can believe anything is possible!
Canada is probably the best team for us to meet in the next round!

Really great result and massive congratulations to Bafana Bafana for making it through to the knockout round for the first time.
Was watching that match and was getting so nervous at the end but we made it through. Glad I woke up early for this game.

Well done to our Bafanians. History making win. I am confident we'll beat Canada on Sunday to progress to the last 16. Not to mention, a much needed boost for our country.

Beating South Korea is commendable. None of the South African players are recognized, whereas South Korea has Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich defender), Son Heung-min (2025 euro league winner and captian with Tottenham) and Lee Kang-in (PSG first team player, Champions league winner in 2026).

We can beat Canada. The morale is high and we've go it in us to win.
But playing Morocco after that....! A different animal. Most of their players play in top clubs in Europe.

I hope this euphoria, just like the rugby world cup win in 1995, dampens the call for militant display this coming Tuesday and unites a divided and broken nation.
Where is rampaphosa and the anc making the nation of South Africa to unite and focus our energies on the good instead of their scapegoat for failures of a corrupt and thieving gvnmt?
