All living creatures have a drive to reproduce. So of course its one of the best feelings in the world. Your pleasure centres go crazy, which is positive reinforcement of the behaviour encouraging you to reproduce.
Other animals only go "in heat" or have a mating season for a brief window-period once a year. What separates humans is that we have no window-period. We're horny all year round, so anytime is tea time.
