Anyone know of gay friendly restaurants or coffee shops in the JHB area. Please no clubs.
Please DM me.

Purely out of curiosity, how are restaurants or coffee shops gay unfriendly? Or do you mean gay themed restaurants or coffee shops?

Probably a lot of them actually considering how conservative South Africa is. Tolerance isn't the same as acceptance.

I have many LGBTQI+ friends/acquaintances, more than most. One of my siblings is also part of the LGBTQI+ community, so I feel that I am qualified and knowledgeable enough to disagree wholeheartedly with the comment above.

I doubt that a gay male couple, just for instance, will visit some restaurant and be asked by the manager,
"Excuse me sir, but are the two of you sucking each other's cocks and/or maybe fucking each other up the butt?! If so, I am going have to ask you both to leave this establishment and take your PINK RANDS with you. We just don't need your money and your custom during these tough economic times. Please leave." Hahaha

On the contrary, People, paying customers, irrespective of their proclivities, are encouraged to spend as much time and money as possible at establishments.

The fact that the spending power of the LGBTQI+ community is significant, is a fact that most businesses are aware of. The Pink Rand might be "pink", but it is not the colour of the money that matters, now is it?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

"The term "Pink Economy" in South Africa refers to the economic contributions and spending power of the LGBTQIA+ community. This includes their spending as consumers, their roles as employees and entrepreneurs, and their overall impact on various sectors of the economy. Studies suggest that the Pink Economy is a significant economic force, with estimates ranging from R53 billion to R250 billion annually."

Have a Gay Day y'all

Most of our friends are gay as we don't have kids and more so lesbian as they have had enough of shit husbands.

Pretty much anywhere in Joburg is gay friendly.

Of special note is Che Argentine in Rosebank and Mr Pants in Craighall Park.

You won't hear me complaining about "shit husbands". Husbands being shitty (to there wives) enables me to look this pretty :p

If you shitty to her, she won't make an effort to be pretty for ya (and that keeps the dolls in business)

As DOLLY PARTON says on PARKINSON, "I need to make a lot of money, because it would amaze you to know how much it costs to make a person look this cheap."

Did you know that South Africa was THE FIRST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD TO LEGALISE GAY RIGHTS?! Read that again.

Viva RSA Viva! We are indeed THE RAINBOW NATION :-)

Interesting fact, the first ever gay pride march in South Africa, and on the African continent, was held in Johannesburg.

Here is South Africa's first gay rugby team ... JOZI CATS ... What you think about thats :)

Yeah I understand that but I was not refering to our policies and legislation which are thankfully very progressive. I'm refering to the social dynamic of South Africans which is by and large more conservative.

Oh dear, it must look like I'm hijacking and now commandeering the OPs thread. I am just very passionate about the LGBTQI+ Community's human rights ... I am for EVERYONE'S HUMAN RIGHTS.

Thanks NAVER for your kind DM. If you watch the video that I posted about THE 5 MOST GAY FRIENDLY CITIES IN AFRICA, you will find some suggestions for the type of establishments that you were looking for here in JHB. Illovo and Melville are two ultra "gay friendly" suburbs according to the YouTuber (gets my stamp of approval, for what it's worth).

Thanks to ARCTICUS and MOTOCAT for your Positive Contributions. Our community appreciates compassionate, kind, humane individuals like you, Tremendously :-)

MAJORJOHN, I like the fact that you always play devil's advocate, and ask relevant questions that get people thinking (hopefully). Your neutrality is appreciated.

And these touchy husbandmen their gay exes are more fun for evenings out. No complaints. Though I also reckon lots on non-touchy husbands also mean money for you too.
