Maybe you and I must get together and cook ;)

Jake

Anytime Jake, what kind of cuisine do you like cooking?

I trained 30+ years ago in classical French cuisine and worked in a Michelin Star restaurant, so my first love is French, but can turn my hand to a lot of different styles.
Like oriental Thai and Chinese, love Mediterranean, Italian, Greek.
But really anything so long as its fresh,

Jake

For the love of Food! I will have to be your apprentice, and learn from you!

Yes kim. The gentle giant and perfect gentleman. I try to not let my alter ego of Dio Brando come out.

I cook. I am exploring vegetarian cooking at the moment.
I also knit and crochet. I was taught to knit at 4yo and crochet at 6yo. So I don't care who says what about it being a granny hobby, I enjoy it. I stopped many years ago and about 4 years ago I couldnt find a throw that I liked and I decided to make one myself .... and I havent stopped Nw my nieces want new ponchos in winter and swimsuit cover ups every year.
I also love crosswords

@ Nadia:
Glad to see you don't let the sad sack brigade intimidate you!! Those are great skills to have. Appart from the artistic, it takes patience and dedication. Both traits scarce to find these days.

Back in the day I was a teacher and my mother knited me 2 pull overs with cables on the back as well since she insisted people see my back and I need to look good working on the blackboard. Dear old girl. Such labour of love

And on the purple side we know there are plenty AMAZING gilfs here, so that G only stands for gorgeous, generous and great!

Arts and crafts for me. Beading, rock painting, working with leather basically anything arty. Bit of a rubbish rat. There is a building material dumpster behind my house. I look for materials and use it to make art or do house renovations. Creating something out of 'nothing' is very rewarding.

I enjoy reading the most abstruse treatises like the following:

"A Dialogue of comfort
against Tribulation"

written by that right Virtuous,Wise and
Learned man, Sir Thomas More, sometime Lord Chancellor of England, which he wrote in the Tower of London 1534.

His wife and daughter begged him to accept Henry VIII as the head of the Church to spare himself. But could not be persuaded and chose to have his head chopped off on Tower Hill.
Which execution was duly carried out and his head stuck on a pike and left on London Bridge where the crows and ravens gouged out his eyes.
