Ladies and gents, I'm curious to know what's the longest period of time that you've kept an open bottle of alcohol and still drink it from time to time.

I bought a bottle of Johnny Blue (things were good back then) in 2015 and it's only coming to an end tonight.

My very first bottle Glenfiddich 18year old lasted me a year.

And I have a Jameson Select reserve small batch that I bought in 2012 which is still sealed.

I also have a bottle Belvenie 12 that's open for about 6 months.

But if a bottle is below 50percent I would recommend keeping it over a long period of time. It really changes the character of the whisky.

Otherwise most bottles lasts me about a month.

Oh BTW eziguy Johnny is crap. Well at least to me.

If you ever want a real whisky try a Belvenie, Teelings, or Jura.

How can you leave Lagavoulin off your list!!?

Oldest bottle is a bottle of mainstay from. 1999 that is still 3/4 full. Bought it for my mother in law as I am not a fan. Long stories of life's ways, but it's still there.
Maybe I must offer it on Lizas give away thread ;))

Looks like it's a good thing it's coming to an end. Over rated as most of us are saying. Positive side there are much better bottles out there, never Savour the same bottle for too long bcz from popular it goes over rated very quickly. Hehehehe

Honestly, because I've never had it.

Im not a Scottish fan, with Jura being an exception.
I love the irish they normally smoother and more subtle.

But Lagavulin will soon have its time, just as many ladies on this furom...

Whisky, brane, cognac, rum or wine, two days is the max it lasts.

Jagermeifter is all that lasts a week, unless Im cooking, double jagger im a karoo lamb stew.... perfection.
