I recently visited Katja / Anastasia who advertises on red. I know her from this purple site but don't see her adverts here anymore. She use to be a good punt. Anyway I travelled to Amanzintoti and made arrangements to see her. Long story short, while I was in my booking in the first 5 minutes her boyfriend/ pimp started calling her. He called her two times more. She answered all his calls. I asked for a refund and got dressed. She said he took the money. I then realized he was actually in the apartment while I was in the shower and not her room mate as she claimed. She said he is on his way to the apartment. I waited by the fire exit and watched the apartment from across the corridor... he actually did come up the elevator and rushed into the apartment. So I walked down 21 flights of stairs and waited by my car for a few minutes with my friend and told my friend what happened. (It was a scam to cut the booking short).
While we were talking this guy (her boyfriend/pimp) persisted to approach me and confronted me with a knife in his back pocket and his hand on the knife ready to draw. I did not get an opportunity to take him on as it would not be self defense as he did not draw the knife but swore me and could only verbally threaten me. I decided to retreat in order to diffuse the situation. I was not prepared to deal with the legal aspects if I retaliated due to privacy.

It seems Durban has some big risks. Clear info like this helps the rest of us make informed decisions. But the reality is becoming that it's better to wait for JHB/PTA girls to come down or make the effort and go up there. It's a real pity and I feel for the handful of girls who are out there to work and service their clients well.

I agree. Several areas in Durban seem too risky to me, including Malvern, Umbilo, Bluff, Morningside, Umhlanga and now Amanzimtoti it seems. Well there's theft which involves the venues and the ladies, corruption from the bad cops, police raids, scams involving pimps and ladies, false advertising on the parts of many ladies (which leads to problems) and lastly, increases in drug usage (which is a primary plague or Durban at the moment). Anyway, these are obviously my own opinions and some would disagree.
Still, Durban, as in any city has its good honest people (ladies and punters alike). Be safe

Regarding Mr McKay's post above there are similar known scams from the ladies in Toti.
First a venue is near main road in Toti within walking distance of the Virgin Active Romans pizza and a petrol station. venue owner and ladies who work there run scams. In the first five minutes lady leaves room, claiming to look for lube. She locks herself in owners room. after waiting for at least 15 minutes, the owner shouts out from room that she called male friends and they on way to collect cancellation. You have to pay or run. Luckily the main bedroom window or back sliding door can be forced open and one can escape around the back without neighbours. Best to avoid entirely if punters are considering a visit.
Secondly,ladies who work from the road near beach, close to the funland operate out flats. They run scam. After punter using the bathroom working lady starts banging on door, demanding for the extra services, which were already settled! Bathroom door is actually locked from outside. A phone call is made from the outside and put on loudspeaker. A gruff male voice on the line, explaining he's on the way to collect for the extras. Door isn't opened until settled in full. This is all scary stuff, trust me and takes punters by surprise. I honestly warn all fellow punters who visit Toti to steer clear of these two places if punting in Toti. There is only one other safe place I know in Toti with no hassles

People like this annoy me. It's sad.
